Tim Dyke ELVA-BMW GT 160, Le Mans 1965, 1:43 MPH

Made October 1993

No. 25 of 25

An extremely rare and unique opportunity. Almost impossible to find.

A superb Provence Moulage resin model built professionally by  the late renowned modeller Tim Dyke, 1939-2020

Tim Dyke’s models frequently graced the pages of Model Auto Review when it was a magazine. His models were always regarded as of ‘exhibition’ standard, with a wealth of added fine detail. He was capable of taking a good resin kit by makers like Provence Moulage and taking it to another level.

The MPH range mainly focused on Le Mans entrants between 1949 and 1965 all in a constant 1:43 scale. His target market included Le Mans racing fans and not just the general model collector market. In all MPH produced models of 63 subjects. 58 were Le Mans cars, three road cars, and one each from the Mille Miglia and the Targa Florio. 24 different marques were featured, and there was at least one car modelled from each of the the Le Mans races from 1949, the first post-war race, to 1965. The odd man out was the Alfa Romeo 2900B from 1938.

Complete with all Tim Dyke paperwork including signed numbered card, muliti-point build sheet and exhaustive detailed history.

Supplied in its original box having never been displayed.
