Manufactured 1949-1951A lovely example of this highly collectable tinplate Tri-ang Minic model. Gleaming blue body work in superb condition, please study the photos for exact condition. Perfect original tyres on silver hubs, excellent bumpers, radiator and trims. Operating steering wheel. Clock work motor works well and has a key however the gearbox and brake don't engage. The base is screwed on so it be an easy fix. A very genuine original model.
The first of the Tri-ang Minic "Series II", "Second Series", or "No.2" range started to tentatively appear in advertising in the very late 1940s, starting with the No.2 Grand Prix Racer. By 1950 there were enough cars to justify calling it a "range" ("Series II"), which continued expanding through 1951.
Comes with its original card box which is missing all flaps at one end but still displays well and with bright colours and illustrations. Does have some wear to edges and corners, please study the photos.
